Our top twelve for pre-schoolers!
Just because they’re little doesn’t mean that your pre-schoolers can’t join in the Christmas spirit. And what they’ll be sure to want is some presents of their own. Now the Supernanny team, with some wise advice from the Toy Retailers Association, offers their top twelve pre-school toys.

For all those little ones who have been asking for a boy doll, Zapf Creation, makers of the hugely successful Baby Annabell, have something very special!
This wonderful doll was an instant hit with our testers, especially the two year old boy, who was thrilled that it looked like him (it’s made to be anatomically correct)! It’s incredibly cute, with big brown eyes and will provide hours of fun for little ones. It really doesn’t seem like one of those toys that will be opened and then ignored after a few days.
Baby Born is fantastic for children keen for their dolly to have a younger brother, and does wees and even poos in his potty! As long as you give him a clean afterwards, he can even come into the bath. He also has a night-time dummy, which immediately makes him shut his eyes.
Rupert has had a new lease of life recently, and this is a toy for children to treasure. My Friend Rupert not only speaks, but can play activity and guessing games (and he knows whether the answer is right or wrong!) Rather cleverly, he also has two settings, so can be switched to advanced when your child’s ready for it.

Channel 5’s Milkshake and Nick Jr have made Peppa Pig and family very popular indeed. This campervan Playset is sure to entertain your children, particularly because it's not just a van, but includes Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy, as well as lots of other accessories. Good fun – your youngsters will enjoy preparing the picnic! - and sure to appeal to fans of the show.
Talking In the Night Garden plush toys, Hasbro, £14.99
These toys show that you don’t have to take out a second mortgage to buy something that your little ones will absolutely adore! These In the Night Garden interactive toys offer music and sounds and will soon become firm favourites. Whether you're in love with Igglepiggle or dotty about Upsy Daisy, this is a great choice.
Yet another TV tie-in, but that’s no bad thing. Roary is an adorable character who has immediately enraptured pre-schoolers (and their big brothers and sisters!)
This gorgeous remote controlled Roary comes with a steering wheel control so you can steer Roary forwards, backwards, left or right. It also talks – and your kids will love Roary's instantly recognisable phrases.
Bob the Builder – Snap Trax Car Wash and Garage, Martin Yaffe, RRP £29.95
Bob’s popularity seems set to go on and on! Now children who can’t get enough of the builder can enjoy this new playset, which features a carwash and garage.

Very sweet lion walker, which should encourage your baby to toddler around the room! Then, when he or she starts doing so, the lion converts from a walker to a ride-on toy. Will provide hours of great fun.
Yes, this is hugely expensive, and out of a lot of people’s league. But if you can afford it and are looking for something spectacular, then this could be it!
The Smart Cycle is a stationary bike, games centre and learning centre. Kids are
encouraged to pedal their way through activities on their TV screens, and should learn as they pedal. It all sounds quite revolutionary to we oldies at Supernanny!
Thomas has a new friend, Jeremy the Plane – and it’s about time a plane came along to join Harold the helicopter in the air! This new system lets Thomas ride around, with Jeremy circling above, and was an immediate hit with our testers, not least because of the excitement of meeting Jeremy!
