If it’s just a base you’re after, you can’t say fairer than Premier Inns for family value, which is why they were voted Parents' Favourite Travel Facility at the Tommy's Parent Friendly Awards 2007. They have 500 hotels all over the UK and Ireland, and kids under 16 stay and eat breakfast absolutely free. The basic family room which sleeps four starts at £50 – can’t say fairer than that!

If money’s no object, you’ll be looking at something more like this Essence of Summer offer from this exclusive chain. All the hotels are in great locations, with plenty of space to roam, and you’ll benefit from the great kids stuff on offer like trampolines, adventure playground, tennis courts, football, bicycle hire and horse and carriage rides. Their childcare is Ofsted registered and babysitting and listening is standard.

If you have any more children who are 15 or under (or if you just prefer the added privacy), you can book another room and get between 25% and 50% off (subject to availability).

Take a look the Best Western website for further details and to make a booking.
