The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre was set up as a national law enforcement agency focused on tackling the sexual abuse of children – especially in relation to the internet – and with the principal aim of identifying, locating and safeguarding children and young people from harm. Through their educational programme ‘ThinkUKnow’, trained professionals now have the opportunity to use specialist resources to empower children and young people, their parents, guardians and carers to keep themselves safe online.
